The TDE MX5 NC “DIY” Kit is designed for track day use, and has to be installed by a skilled mechanic.

 The highly efficient Rotrex C30-94 CCW Supercharger is used with a 100mm pulley, and with an efficient intercooler and proper electronics is capable of producing 240hp and an almost constant linear torque through the entire power band. With cooler operating temperatures, and total drivability the TDEsupercharger DIY kit provides instant throttle response and a progressive power curve opposite to the turbo characteristic that makes the car difficult to control during reduced track friction.

 Rotrex superchargers operate much cooler when compared to turbochargers and the standard downpipe does not increase backpressure that results in hot trapped residual gases that heat the incoming charge air with risk of detonation. Rotrex superchargers are very compact has high adiabatic efficiency, low vibration, and quiet operation.

 TDE’s skilled engineers have used Additive Manufacturing and 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture the aluminum brackets in aircraft aluminum. In the design-process based on many years of experience, low center of gravity and robust installation was key. Only high quality products are used in the kit and together with the most reliable supercharger on the market many exiting hours on the track is secured. The kit requires the installer to fabricate the supercharger inlet pipe, charge pipes, and intercooler as well as provide all necessary support parts and tuning. Fits MX5 NC 1,5 and 2.0 Skyactive.
